INDIANAPOLIS – Governor Eric Holcomb has earned the unanimous endorsement of the Indiana State Building and Construction Trades, a council representing 115 affiliated local building trades organizations throughout Indiana. The group comprises more than 62,000 working Hoosiers.
“Governor Holcomb is attracting broad support from all Hoosiers as he works to safety get Indiana’s economy back on track,” said Kyle Hupfer, Eric Holcomb for Indiana campaign manager. “We’re thankful to the Indiana State Building and Construction Trades and its members for their support.”

The Indiana State Building and Construction Trades specifically cited the Governor’s Next Level Jobs and Next Level Roads programs as reasons for the endorsement. Next Level Jobs has helped more than 10,000 Hoosiers skill-up to fill high-wage, in-demand jobs, while Next Level Roads fully-funds Indiana’s road and bridge projects for the next 20 years.
In addition to Governor Holcomb’s leadership in supporting job training and construction, the council also cited Governor Holcomb’s leadership through the COVID-19 pandemic as a reason for earning the endorsement.
Organized in 1910, Indiana State Building and Construction Trades is chartered through North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU), a department of the national AFL-CIO.
The Indiana State Building and Construction Trades is the sixth group to endorse Governor Holcomb this election cycle, following the announcement last month that the Northwestern Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council had unanimously endorsed Governor Holcomb. He’s also earned the endorsement of the Indiana Builders Association, the National Federation of Independent Business, the Indiana State Police Alliance, and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
