Honoring Leaders & Presidents

When it comes to leading our party and our communities, Governor Eric Holcomb understands that it’s our local leaders and businesses that are truly leading the charge! That’s why when he was in Kokomo for the Howard County Republican Party’s Century Club Breakfast, he took the time to recognize three local leaders for their contribution to the community and awarded them with the state’s highest honor, the Sagamore of the Wabash. They are:

  • Former Howard County Sheriff Steve Rogers, who just retired after a 48-year career in law enforcement

  • Jeff and Lisa Smeltzer, the second-generation owners of the family-owned restaurant the Cone Palace in Kokomo, which serves as a strong pillar in the Howard County community

Oh, and in case you missed it – in honor of Presidents’ Day, Governor Holcomb gave a few tours of his presidential signature collection (did you know he collects presidential signatures?). Check out the video here, and read a story and check out a few photos here. Guess which president’s signature is the only one he’s missing?
