Making a Difference

Growing Indiana’s Workforce

For Governor Eric Holcomb, helping Hoosiers build the skills needed to succeed in today’s economy is a top priority – and it was the focus of two events this week!

First, on Thursday, Governor Holcomb led the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) board meeting, filling his role as the organization’s national chairman. JAG helps at-risk students stay in school and work toward building the skills for a great career! Indiana is proudly home to one of the largest JAG programs in the nation!

And then earlier today, Governor Holcomb helped break ground on tech giant Infosys’ new U.S. Education Center, which will be built on the site of the former Indianapolis International Airport terminal. The global company will use Indiana as a U.S. base for training its workforce to fill the latest in high-tech jobs – in addition to creating 3,000 new jobs of its own right here in Indiana.

Thank you, Governor Holcomb, for your dedication to helping all Hoosiers do what it takes to fill high-wage, high-skill jobs!
