On the board, which is co-chaired by Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump and Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, Governor Holcomb is advising the Trump Administration on strategies to combat the nation’s skills crisis and better prepare the American workforce for today’s 21st century jobs.
Governor Holcomb is one of just two governors selected to join this task force – along with big-time CEOs like the leaders of major U.S. companies like Apple, Walmart, Lockheed Martin, Home Depot and Siemens.
Here in Indiana, under Governor Holcomb’s leadership we’re already seeing more Hoosiers getting skilled-up for high-wage jobs. In 2018 alone, for example:
–Nearly 9,000 Hoosiers enrolled in a certificate-oriented training program through Next Level Jobs
–17,000 Hoosiers who previously started college came back to finish degrees
–Thousands more Hoosiers were trained on-the-job through Employer Training Grants
And now Governor Holcomb is helping the Trump Administration take that success to the nation!
