Governor Holcomb Launching First TV Ad of Gubernatorial Race

Highlights Message of Building One Indiana for All

INDIANAPOLIS – The Eric Holcomb for Indiana campaign today announced that it is launching a seven-figure, statewide television buy, debuting the first TV ad of Indiana’s general election season. The ad will begin running statewide on Tuesday on broadcast and cable.

The first ad – titled “Proud to be a Hoosier” – highlights Hoosiers’ resiliency through the pandemic, sharing a message of unity as Governor Holcomb continues his work of building One Indiana for All – with opportunity for Hoosiers and action to jumpstart Indiana’s economic momentum.

“We were reminded what we always knew about Indiana, and that’s we’re a strong, resilient group of Hoosiers, and there’s no challenge we can’t overcome when we come together, and we’re reminded of that fact every single day…We are One Indiana. And we are One Indiana for All,” said Governor Holcomb in the ad’s voiceover.

“Fewer than 100 days remain between now and Election Day, and while our state faces rising challenges, Governor Holcomb knows that we’re strongest when we come together,” said Kyle Hupfer, campaign manager for Governor Holcomb’s reelection bid. “We’re launching the first ad of Indiana’s 2020 general election with a message of Hoosier unity throughout this crisis, and Governor Holcomb’s commitment to restart Indiana’s economic engines.”

This major ad buy comes as Hoosiers across Indiana show their support for Governor Holcomb’s results-driven leadership. This month, the campaign announced that it closed the second quarter of 2020 with $8.05 million cash on hand. This impressive total includes $1.48 million raised in less than one month of active fundraising during the quarter.

In addition to fundraising, Governor Holcomb has earned endorsements from a wide range of groups and associations across Indiana – so far including the Indiana REALTORS® PAC, the Indiana Professional Firefighters PAC the Indiana State Building and Construction Trades, the Northwestern Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council, the Indiana Builders Association, the National Federation of Independent Business, the Indiana State Police Alliance, and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
