Jobs for Indiana’s Birthday

Happy birthday, Indiana! Tuesday, December 11, was Statehood Day in Indiana, which celebrated 202 years since Indiana became the 19th state to join the union. As one of Indiana’s top history buffs, Governor Eric Holcomb was on hand at the Statehouse with hundreds of fourth graders to celebrate our state’s birthday and all that we’ve accomplished as Hoosiers in the last 202 years.

“This has always been my favorite celebration in this stretch of our year,” said Governor Holcomb. Read more about Statehood Day, and how Governor Holcomb helped celebrate this important day for Indiana.

Then Governor Holcomb traveled north, where he joined California-based energy company Fulcrum BioEnergy as the company announced big plans to establish operations in the state – including 163 new, high-wage jobs in Gary! This is fantastic news, and truly a great birthday present for Indiana!
